Indie heads rejoice, Vinnie Paz and Stoupe have officially reunited as Jedi Mind Tricks and will be releasing a new album later this year! After splitting in 2011 because Stoupe's "heart wasn't in making JMT records anymore," the Philly duo patched things up this past December and now it's time for the music! Taking to their social accounts, Vinnie and Paz announced the release of their new album, The Thief And The Fallen, for a June 2nd release.

Sehr gut, Stoupe wieder mit an Bord, bin gespannt was der zur Zeit so schraubt. Jetzt muss nur noch Vinnie (und Jus Allah auch) die Gruppe verlassen und das Album könnte was werden

Dann könnte es wieder was werden. JMT ohne Stoupe ist wie Wu-Tang ohne RZA oder Mobb Deep ohne Havoc. Nach dem Abgang von Stoupe war alles nur noch Standardware.
Ist ja nicht so, dass Vinnie Paz der Über-MC ist. JMT hat für mich immer von der Atmosphäre der Beats gelebt.

Könnt was werden obwohl ich Legacy of Blood und Visions of Ghandi auch schon nicht mehr so cool fand. Die müssten ja auch nich komplett von Stoupe produziert gewesen sein.

Doch waren sie. Und soundtechnisch waren die zwar auch nicht mehr so gut, wie die Alben davor, aber immernoch tausend mal besser als alles was danach ohne Stoupe kam.

Na das die beiden Alben imo auch noch komplett von Stoupe produziert waren... Und die fand ich im Gegensatz zu den ersten beiden Alben schwächer.

Ich hoffe einfach, dass der liebe Stoupe wieder auf seinen Hip Hop Film kommt und roughe Sachen bringt. Denn der Trend Ende echtes JMT war schon, dass er Latino Samples benutzt hat und die waren wirklich nicht so geil.

Also ich fand diese Latino Beats schon ziemlich geil, auf Visions Of Ghandi waren doch hammer Teile drauf.
Blood in Blood out oder Nada Cambia z.b. und von Legacy Of Blood allein Saviorself. Natürlich bleibt Violent By Design
wohl der heftigste JMT-Sound (zumindest für mich), aber die Sachen danach waren trotzdem geil.

Der hat auch bei den späteren Alben richtig geile Sachen gesampelt.
(Bsp: Max Payne 2 auf The Wolf von Visions of Gandhi)
Aber diese fröhlicheren Latinosamples haben doch gar nicht zu Paz gepasst.
