wie bereits erwähnt, erstes jamiroquai album, auf das ich gespannt bin. der neue sound gefällt mir ganz gut, das frühere zeug war mir einfach zu blasser disco-funk.

Dieser Track läuft bei mir seit einigen Tagen auf Heavy Rotation! Bin wirklich gespannt, wie das Album wird.

wie bereits erwähnt, erstes jamiroquai album, auf das ich gespannt bin. der neue sound gefällt mir ganz gut, das frühere zeug war mir einfach zu blasser disco-funk.

ok, you got me. ich habe eigentlich von anfang an abturn auf die mucke geschoben. war in meinen augen immer musik für leute die nie den real shit gehört haben. ich weiss, mega arrogante haltung. ich bin älter und milder geworden.

ich höre, dir zu liebe, "a funk odyssey". da geht mir tatsächlich direkt der erste track sofort auf den zeiger. prototyp von "blassem disco-funk". ansonsten sowas wie "cosmic girl". aber ich höre jetzt mal verstärkt rein, lasse mich gerne überzeugen.

es stimmt schon, dass jamiroquai im vergleich zu den großen säulenheiligen von funk und disco wesentlich weniger weit draußen sind vom sound her. es is halt schon in erster linie pop. aber dennoch mit liebe gemacht und dem nötigen respekt vor den pionieren der beiden genres.

OK. Da haben wir in dieser Hinsicht unterschiedliche Geschmäcker. Die von dir genannten Tracks feiere ich ausnahmslos.

Es muss nicht immer obskurer Funk/Disco Kram sein. Ab und zu brauchen die Ohren einfach gute Popmusik!

ja, ist sicher ne geschmacksfrage. ich muss ihnen bzw jay kay schon props geben, dass das ding seit 93 durchgezogen wird.

einfach nicht my cup of tea. aber wie gesagt, der neue sound klingt ganz nice.

Ich kenne zwar nicht ihre ganze Diskografie. Aber man kann sagen, dass ich gewisse Songs von der Gruppe und die Stimme der Sängerin mag.

als die-hard -jamiroquai fan der alle alben doppelt und dreifach hat: für mich ist das “wahre“ jamiroquai das “acid jazz jamiroquai“. also von emergency on planet earth bis return of the space cowboy. travelling without moving war super, aber der erste schritt zum pop und weg von acid jazz, synkronized liebe ich auch, aber noch ein größerer schritt weg. a funk odissey habe ich gehasst. dynamite hatte highlights, rock light dust star war mir zu unscheinbar. bisher kann ich außer einem track nicht mal die anderen richtig nennen, sind nicht greifbar. Die ersten beiden alben sind für mich musikgeschichte. emergency on planet ist für mich eines der besten alben der Musikgeschichte.
