fand halseys stimme seit jeher cool, aber musik war mir immer zu generisch. neues album ist von trent reznor und atticus ross produziert und das tut der ganzen sache ganz gut.

Hello. Hi. I know you want new music.

I want you to know that I am hard at work. There were some restrictions I was under, for a lot longer than it seemed, but they are no longer in the way. I’m sure you can fill in the blanks.

I’m always writing aimlessly and lawlessly as you know. But “album mode” is a whole other arena and the games are just beginning. I am working on some of my favorite stuff I’ve ever conjured. Wild to think that it hasn’t even been 2 years since IICHLIWP! I know it feels like so much longer. It does to me too. But there were 2 years and 7 months between HFK and Manic and honestly I think it was worth it. The time I took. And the growth that got me from that album to the next.

Thank you for having the patience and the faith.

It will pay off in the long run.

This feels like my debut all over again, in some ways.

Your love and support have carried me through a time where I thought maybe I only had a few albums left in me, but I know now that there are so many more than I could have ever dreamed.

Anyways, I love you.

Down the rabbit hole I go ️

yep, columbia und mit abstrichen auch republic waren die einzig sinnvollen optionen, wenn man die aktuellen artist-roster und das große ganze betrachtet. guter zug von beiden seiten. hoffentlich hat das hier weiterhin bestand (falls es denn überhaupt ernst gemeint war):

würde ich nahezu blind kaufen (für die ganze familie).

ps: sind wir hier gerade tatsächlich im begriff, einen künstler-thread zum ersten mal seit x jahren auch wirklich als solchen zu nutzen? ich traue meinen augen kaum. wir sind wieder wer!

bin übrigens erst gestern aus dem us-kurzurlaub zurückgekehrt und hätte sie sooooooo gerne mit ihrem streichensemble im hard rock live gesehen, aber hat zeitlich leider nicht sollen sein... :(
 
Haha, sieht ganz so aus, ne? Habe hier irgendwann kaum noch Künstlerthreads geöffnet (zuletzt The xx und Fred Again, glaube ich) und nur noch im WHIDGSW- und ADT-Thread nach neuen Musikentdeckungen gestöbert. Das ist nicht ganz so demotivierend und einschläfernd.

Aaawww, schade. Vielleicht beim nächsten Mal, wenn sie wieder nach DE, NL, BE oder FR kommt. Hoffe, du hattest trotzdem ne gute Zeit. :thumbsup:

Schaue mir gerade einige ihrer Auftritte auf Twitter an und werde auch ganz hibbelig. Neben der von Dua mit Abstand meine Lieblingsstimme ihrer Generation in der Popwelt.

ich LEBE für den belting-run auf dem zweiten main-chorus (rockstar-halsey) und abrupten registerwechsel in den post-chorus (baby-halsey).

ja, vielleicht beim nächsten mal. notfalls dann auch auf festival-ebene...

ja, war trotzdem super und die reisestrapazen wert (wenn auch viel zu kurz).

trent and atticus, they really helped me create that authentic my bloody valentine sound - and so there are 33 guitars on "you asked for this".
I don't think I've ever had that many guitars on a song before.
