Nas Dethrones Lil Wayne Atop Billboard 200

One rapper replaces another atop The Billboard 200 this week, as Nas' untitled Def Jam album dethrones Lil Wayne's Cash Money/Universal set "Tha Carter III." Nas' album sold 187,000 copies in the United States, according to Nielsen SoundScan, becoming the rapper's fifth No. 1 here.

Nas' prior album, 2006's "Hip-Hop Is Dead," also debuted at No. 1 but sold 354,000 over Christmas week. Meanwhile, after three non-consecutive weeks at No. 1, "Tha Carter III" slips to No. 2 with a 15% sales decrease to 105,000.

mhhhh scheint ja nicht wirklich zu intressieren das neue nas werk hab es mir noch nicht gekauft , es müsste eigentlich ein pflichtkauf sein . aber sein letztes album hab ich mir auch schon ewig nicht mehr angehört . ich hoffe mal dass er mal geilere beats gepickt hat , das ist oft noch ein schwachpunkt an ihm , dass er oft lahme und drucklose beats holt . aber flow und lyricmäßig ist er ne nummer für sich

also bei hiphop is dead wars wirklich extrem.hab mir das aktuelle auch noch nicht angehört.wird wohl eit.nas hat mich seit jahren nicht mehr überzeugt.illmatic ist immer noch eine der top ten records die je released wurden meiner meinung nach aber in den letzten paar jahren naja.er kommt mir immer mehr wie das amerikanische pendant zu curse vor...
