Nach einigen Spekulationen durch seinen neuen Streetrack "The Giant", auf dem sich Obie Trice als Free Agent betitelt, hat der Rapper nun in einem Statement klar Schiff gemacht: Der 30-jährige MC aus Detroit hat nach insgesamt acht Jahren und zwei Alben offiziell Eminems Label Shady Records verlassen. Dies bestätigte sein Manager Terry Wilson. Genaue Gründe wurden allerdings nicht genannt, man würde sich "in Freundschaft trennen", so Wilson:
Für sein eigenes Label "World Wide Hustle" will Obie Trice demnächst einen neuen Deal unterschreiben. Sein neues Album "Bottoms Up" nähert sich der Fertigstellung.
