On credibility in hip-hop and Rick Ross’ alleged past career as a prison guard
I’m not speaking relative to or in opposition of Rick Ross in this next statement, but I will say this: my father was an Atlanta police officer and my mother was a known drug traf****er, in addition to being a business owner and pretty smart, savvy black woman. And I’ve never hid either of those facts. I’m a man and I am contradictory elements to my past and my personality. I’m the same kid that sold dope on Martin Luther King [Drive], paid for a tutor with that dope money, and got himself into Morehouse College because he knew Martin Luther King Jr. went there. My story is the American story. It’s Joe Kennedy. A grandfather who ran moonshine so his children could be better educated. My mother did what she did so her child could have a better life. I’m from that, and that’s what I wanna present in all it’s beauty. I’ve always told my story in that way because I have integrity. I can’t answer in terms of why other rappers do it; I’m just gonna say I don’t lie to my audience. I just think the true stories, the ones with all of our complexities, make better movies and songs. I would’ve loved to hear a Port of Miami where a guy gets fired from his job as a C.O. and goes on to some dirt. But for everybody who’s judging him now, understand that his next album is called Deeper Than Rap. We are politicians; he can spin this into something bigger. Now that the truth is told, what good is gonna come out of the truth?

Another thing, people dont discuss is my past record. I was 15 when I caught my first charge. 16 when I caught my first drug charge. I’m out on bond right now. I almost missed my Trilla album release party!

So when n—as say my name, a n—a better muthaf—in’ recognize, n—a, I dont have these crosses under my eyes for playin with n—as….

I feel like emotions are for women….

WORD. "Magnificent" ist echt extrem smooth, gefällt mir sehr! Ich bin auch der gleichen Meinung wie du, dass Ross genau auf diesem Beats am geilsten kommt, auch wenn Jigga ihn natürlich wie zu erwarten war auf "Maybach Music" um Lichtjahre übertroffen hat.;) Dazu muss ich noch sagen, dass "Maybach Music" für mich persönlich einer der besten Tracks der letzten Jahre ist! Dieser wundervoll soulige Beat, Ricky Raus wie immer solide am rumprollen auf Miami-Art und Jigga mit einem seiner besten 16er dieser Dekade!
Und ja...J.U.S.T.I.C.E. League ist für mich auch eines der interessantesten und dopsten Producer-Teams zurzeit! Was die alleine für "Trilla" schon für Bomben rausgehauen haben, ist unglaublich! Das Intro, "Maybach Music", "Billionaire" und "Luxury Tax" - alles extrem geile Tracks und jeder einzelne ein Meisterstück für sich! Es ist schon irgendwie extrem auffällig, wenn ein Producer-Team schon alleine 4 der 5 besten Tracks eines Albums liefert und das spricht nur für sie! Auch die anderen mir bekannten Beats von denen wie zum Beispiel "Rumble Young Man Rumble"(Juelz Santana), "Bury Me A G"(Young Jeezy) & "Word Play"(Young Jeezy) sind Brecher unglaublichen Ausmaßes! Ich freue mich auf jeden Fall sehr auf mehr Granaten aus dem Hause der J.U.S.T.I.C.E. League! :)
 
Die Tatsache, dass Rauss Fiddy das Ultimatum gestellt hat (48 Stunden für besseren Diss-Track oder Missachtung statt Antwort), feier' ich schon ma' enorm...!!
Fiddy's dämliche Promo-Disses gehören eigentlich generell ignoriert :D :D.
 
Magnificent is killa, ich freu mich auf ross album fast mehr als auf blueprint 3, ich find die vocal aufnahmen von ross ziemlich übertrieben stylisch, der man rappt melodien mit seinen echos bei der aufnahme
 
Raus macht Fifty echt platt :D , echt lässiger der Polizist ;)
Achja und neues Album wird schon sehnlichst erwartet, Trilla und auch Port of Miami wurden gefeiert. :thumbsup:
 
ich finde fifty gar nich so schlecht, er bringt schon verschiedenne flows, aber ross seine sachen gehn unter die haut, das is ein anderer sound echt maybach music
